What another incredible day for our 2014 Premier Girls last Monday, the club hosted a 10 team tournament with representatives teams from Galway, Kildare, Longford, Kilkenny, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan playing, along with a very strong Cork PDA team.. Our girls were fantastic all day, finished runners up in their group to advance to the Shield Final where a Beihbinn Healy bullet header from an inch perfect corner from Kayleigh Morrissey was enough to beat Cork PDA 1-0 to win the Shield. Big well done to the Cup Winners Galway, who were an excellent team. It was a pleasure to host over 150 of the country’s top girl players to Tymon Park. Our Over 35s side will travel to Cork on June 13th to take on College Corinthians in the Paul Foley Memorial Match. The game is being organised in memory of Paul Foley, brother of TUFC player Declan Foley, with all funds raised going towards the Irish Cancer Society and Solas Cancer Support Centre. A brilliant occasion for a very important cause, with a number of well-known names set to feature for College Corinthians including Damien Delaney, David Meyler, Joe Gamble and Greg O’Halloran.
