The Club has received the sad news that a Templeogue Utd. legend from the early years has very sadly passed away. Eamonn Murray was a former Club manager and a very active and meticulous Hon. Club Secretary for 12 years from 1983 to1995 and played a huge part in the development of the Club.
At the Club’s AGM in 1987, Eamonn instigated the debate to change the name of the Club from St. Jude’s Football & Athletic Club to Templeogue Utd. F.C. In 1989, he attended the first official meeting with Dublin County Council regarding the building of our own Clubhouse, for which we received planning permission in 1991; and he oversaw the official ‘turning of the sod’ in January 1992.
By now, we were one of the largest clubs of its kind in the country and Eamonn worked tirelessly and professionally in the massive administration necessary for the successful running of a club that size. In 1999, Eamonn was honoured with Honorary Life Membership of Templeogue Utd. May he rest in peace.

What a day for Templeogue United and what a day for our Under-12 Premier girls.
We caught up with match-winner Fia after the final whistle, following her incredible extra-time goal — set up by a brilliant assist from Sienna — to seal a memorable victory.
The girls thoroughly deserved the win after going a goal behind to a spirited, strong and defensively excellent Ballylanders side. Templeogue United showed real character, continuing to attack, move the ball with purpose and work tirelessly together right to the end.
In truth, it was one of the best penalties ever scored on that pitch that brought the sides level and kept the girls firmly in the fight - with Ruby showing nerves of steel to hammer it home, check the clip out on our profile.
A fantastic day for this squad. Well done to every single player involved, and what an achievement to progress through to the last 16 of the SFAI Cup.

Templeogue United were honoured to remember young Oisín O’Reilly as our Under 8 team played out a friendly match vs St Francis FC earlier today.
Oisín was a much-loved local boy and a close friend of one of the St Francis players, whose life was tragically cut far too short.
We are incredibly proud of the kindness and compassion shown by all the children, coaches and families and grateful to St Francis FC for organising such a thoughtful and meaningful tribute.
Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies are with Oisín’s family, friends and the wider St Francis community at this very difficult time.

Coerver Coaching Intro Session
We are pleased to confirm that a Coerver Coaching Introduction Session will take place at the club on Saturday 17th January available for all TUFC Coaches.
Session Details
Start time: 3.15pm
Location: Clubhouse (first part), then moving to the astro pitch for on-field demonstrations
This session is designed to give coaches a strong understanding of the Coerver Coaching methodology and how it can be applied within our club environment.
Session Content will include:
- Background to Coerver
- Coaching & why it is used
- The Coerver approach
- Ball Mastery
- Layout of a Coerver session
- Coerver on-pitch practical sessions
All coaches are strongly encouraged to attend, as this will provide valuable insights and practical tools that can be integrated into your training sessions.

As we close out the year here at TUFC we want to give a special shout out to our Senior Team and Coaches who came together for a special game of football, the very first O’Neill Cup.
Played in the true spirit of Templeogue United, this was football at its best — skill, resilience, energy, fairness and plenty of fight and fun. The match helped raise funds for the Ultan and The O’Neill Fund, but it also did something just as important: it showcased exactly who we are.
From senior players, many of whom have been part of the club since academy level, right through to our coaches — the respect shown for the crest, the club and the O’Neill family said everything and reinforce why having a player pathway and growing the club and community is vital.
Huge credit to Hugh Kennedy for the original idea — a member who continues to give so much to the club, to Johnny Feighery for pulling the coaches’ team together, Josh Holden for the music, PA and pints and the countless others who played their part and Paul O’Neill for presenting the trophy.
And while results didn’t matter… we can probably all agree that the “trialist” who lined out for the coaches is a handy enough footballer, leaving with a hat-trick to his name 😅⚽️
All jokes aside, it was a fantastic evening for Templeogue United — and exactly the spirit we’re carrying with us into 2026.

Throughout the year, our “old-man-football group has been collecting subs and once again the decision was made to give back to those who need it most.
This year, the group donated:

Tonight was a very special one in the clubhouse as Darren Dillon — Head of Strength & Conditioning at Shamrock Rovers — brought down the LOI Premier Division Trophy, the FAI Cup, and the FAI League of Ireland Premier Division Trophy for the team to see up close.
The kids were absolutely buzzing, the Under 9.1s had the time of their lives!

A big win over Swords on Sunday kept up their positive start to the year 👏⚽🇮🇪
Great to see ex-TUFC player Laila Hurley, just back from international duty down supporting the girls’ match. Layla who currently represents Ireland u17s and Bohemians in the WSL u17 league came up to give some guidance and support.
Layla will be doing some coaching with the squad over the next few weeks looking to inspire our next crop of potential internationals 🙌🙌
They also enjoyed a brilliant session with Richie Towell as part of the clubs Emerging Talent Programme 💪👍

Our seniors had a brilliant weekend in Liverpool taking on local side FC DY in the first ever O’Neill Cup.
While the result didn’t go our way, the lads had a great time represented the club excellently.
As a club we are very proud of this group, of the 18 players who travelled - 16 came up through the TUFC underage set up with many starting out in the academy.
A special thank you to FC DY for hosting the lads and for making a generous donation in support of Ultan and The O’Neill family.

The Club has received the sad news that a Templeogue Utd. legend from the early years has very sadly passed away. Eamonn Murray was a former Club manager and a very active and meticulous Hon. Club Secretary for 12 years from 1983 to1995 and played a huge part in the development of the Club.
At the Club’s AGM in 1987, Eamonn instigated the debate to change the name of the Club from St. Jude’s Football & Athletic Club to Templeogue Utd. F.C. In 1989, he attended the first official meeting with Dublin County Council regarding the building of our own Clubhouse, for which we received planning permission in 1991; and he oversaw the official ‘turning of the sod’ in January 1992.
By now, we were one of the largest clubs of its kind in the country and Eamonn worked tirelessly and professionally in the massive administration necessary for the successful running of a club that size. In 1999, Eamonn was honoured with Honorary Life Membership of Templeogue Utd. May he rest in peace.

What a day for Templeogue United and what a day for our Under-12 Premier girls.
We caught up with match-winner Fia after the final whistle, following her incredible extra-time goal — set up by a brilliant assist from Sienna — to seal a memorable victory.
The girls thoroughly deserved the win after going a goal behind to a spirited, strong and defensively excellent Ballylanders side. Templeogue United showed real character, continuing to attack, move the ball with purpose and work tirelessly together right to the end.
In truth, it was one of the best penalties ever scored on that pitch that brought the sides level and kept the girls firmly in the fight - with Ruby showing nerves of steel to hammer it home, check the clip out on our profile.
A fantastic day for this squad. Well done to every single player involved, and what an achievement to progress through to the last 16 of the SFAI Cup.

Templeogue United were honoured to remember young Oisín O’Reilly as our Under 8 team played out a friendly match vs St Francis FC earlier today.
Oisín was a much-loved local boy and a close friend of one of the St Francis players, whose life was tragically cut far too short.
We are incredibly proud of the kindness and compassion shown by all the children, coaches and families and grateful to St Francis FC for organising such a thoughtful and meaningful tribute.
Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies are with Oisín’s family, friends and the wider St Francis community at this very difficult time.

Coerver Coaching Intro Session
We are pleased to confirm that a Coerver Coaching Introduction Session will take place at the club on Saturday 17th January available for all TUFC Coaches.
Session Details
Start time: 3.15pm
Location: Clubhouse (first part), then moving to the astro pitch for on-field demonstrations
This session is designed to give coaches a strong understanding of the Coerver Coaching methodology and how it can be applied within our club environment.
Session Content will include:
- Background to Coerver
- Coaching & why it is used
- The Coerver approach
- Ball Mastery
- Layout of a Coerver session
- Coerver on-pitch practical sessions
All coaches are strongly encouraged to attend, as this will provide valuable insights and practical tools that can be integrated into your training sessions.

As we close out the year here at TUFC we want to give a special shout out to our Senior Team and Coaches who came together for a special game of football, the very first O’Neill Cup.
Played in the true spirit of Templeogue United, this was football at its best — skill, resilience, energy, fairness and plenty of fight and fun. The match helped raise funds for the Ultan and The O’Neill Fund, but it also did something just as important: it showcased exactly who we are.
From senior players, many of whom have been part of the club since academy level, right through to our coaches — the respect shown for the crest, the club and the O’Neill family said everything and reinforce why having a player pathway and growing the club and community is vital.
Huge credit to Hugh Kennedy for the original idea — a member who continues to give so much to the club, to Johnny Feighery for pulling the coaches’ team together, Josh Holden for the music, PA and pints and the countless others who played their part and Paul O’Neill for presenting the trophy.
And while results didn’t matter… we can probably all agree that the “trialist” who lined out for the coaches is a handy enough footballer, leaving with a hat-trick to his name 😅⚽️
All jokes aside, it was a fantastic evening for Templeogue United — and exactly the spirit we’re carrying with us into 2026.

Tonight was a very special one in the clubhouse as Darren Dillon — Head of Strength & Conditioning at Shamrock Rovers — brought down the LOI Premier Division Trophy, the FAI Cup, and the FAI League of Ireland Premier Division Trophy for the team to see up close.
The kids were absolutely buzzing, the Under 9.1s had the time of their lives!

A big win over Swords on Sunday kept up their positive start to the year 👏⚽🇮🇪
Great to see ex-TUFC player Laila Hurley, just back from international duty down supporting the girls’ match. Layla who currently represents Ireland u17s and Bohemians in the WSL u17 league came up to give some guidance and support.
Layla will be doing some coaching with the squad over the next few weeks looking to inspire our next crop of potential internationals 🙌🙌
They also enjoyed a brilliant session with Richie Towell as part of the clubs Emerging Talent Programme 💪👍

Our seniors had a brilliant weekend in Liverpool taking on local side FC DY in the first ever O’Neill Cup.
While the result didn’t go our way, the lads had a great time represented the club excellently.
As a club we are very proud of this group, of the 18 players who travelled - 16 came up through the TUFC underage set up with many starting out in the academy.
A special thank you to FC DY for hosting the lads and for making a generous donation in support of Ultan and The O’Neill family.
Congrats Josh Holden and winning Man of the Match ⚽️
We look to forward to welcoming them to TUFC for the return leg in 2026.
